In the village of Nteko, near the border with Congo, life is marked by poverty and fear caused by the nearby war. Yet in the midst of these hardships, a small community of believers gathers every week to worship and find strength in God. About 100 adults and 80 children come together for prayer, song, and encouragement, while over 150 children also receive a warm meal each week through the “Feeding Hands” project — often their only meal of the day.

The current church is overcrowded and unsafe, but the people dream of building a new one — a simple, solid house of worship where faith can grow, children can learn, and the community can find peace. Rising on a hill at the edge of the village, the new church will be more than a building: it will be a refuge, a center of hope, and a light shining above the noise of war.
