Because of the harsh living conditions, many children living near the forest suffer from scabies and other skin diseases. Most of them have no access to bathrooms or basic hygiene, and for many, this program offers the first real bath of their lives. We also cut their hair short, as required in Ugandan schools, to prevent lice and infections.

Beyond physical care, children learn about the importance of personal hygiene and how it protects their health and restores their dignity. The program relies entirely on donations — for soap, hair clippers, towels, and creams for scalp treatment. Even a small gift can make a big difference, helping a child stay healthy, feel loved, and regain self-worth.
